China Compulsory Certification (CCC) - STC Testing Scope Extension

According to the revised CEPA "Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement" signed between the China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in November 2019, China will further open the CCC market to the Hong Kong laboratories.

Implementation Date: June 1, 2020

Testing of CCC products provided by STC

STC (Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre) is an accredited laboratory that can cooperate with designated organizations in China to conduct CCC product testing.

Original scope: CCC products processed or produced in China or processed in Hong Kong

Expanded scope: CCC products processed or produced in any regions in the world (including outside China)

STC testing product range:

l   Children’s products

l   Household and similar electrical appliances

l   Audio and video apparatus

l   Information technology equipment

l   Lighting apparatus

What is China Compulsory Certification CCC?

CCC(China Compulsory Certification) was formulated by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China in accordance with the "Regulation concerning Management of Compulsive Product Certification" and was implemented with effective from May 1, 2003. The products in the CCC catalog have classified into 21 categories including : Electric cables and wiring, Electrical switches, Protective devices and connection devices, Low voltage electrical equipment, Small power motors, Electric tools, Electric welding machines, Household and similar electrical appliances, Audio and video apparatus, Information technology equipment, Lighting apparatus, Motor vehicles and safety accessories, Motor vehicle tyres, Safety glass, Agricultural machinery, Telecommunication terminal equipment, Fire service equipment, Security system products, Decoration products, Children’s products, Explosion-proof electrical products, and Household gas appliances.

Any products under the above categories must obtain the CCC mark before it can be sold, imported or used for commercial purposes in China.
