In September 2016, two Australian / New Zealand standards for Sunglasses, AS/NZS 1067.1:2016 and AS/NZS 1067.2:2016, have been published to supersede in part the previous version, AS/NZS 1067:2003. These standards specify the minimum requirements for sunglasses, fashion spectacles and replacement filters that are nominally afocal (plano power), except for prescription filter, to provide protection against solar radiation for general use, including road-use and driving.
